There will be days when you have cried all your tears and the only prayer left is a groan from the deep places of your heart. God hears those too. Romans 8:26 tells us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
A prayer for my son is one of the most powerful gifts I can give him. It is not a backup plan for when everything else has failed. It is the first and greatest strategy of a parent who understands that they are not raising a child alone. They are co-laboring with the God of the universe, who wants their son’s life to flourish even more than they do.
Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Your son’s story is not finished, and God’s faithfulness is not exhausted.
