Dear Lord,

I pray You would surround my child with good friends—kids who encourage them, laugh with them, and bring out the best in them. Help them find friends who share their values and who won’t pressure them to do wrong things. Give them at least one friend they can trust with their thoughts and feelings.
But Lord, I also pray my student would BE a good friend. Teach them to be kind to everyone, not just the popular kids or the ones who are kind back. Help them notice the lonely kid who sits alone at lunch. Give them courage to include others and to stand against bullying or meanness.
When conflicts happen—and they will—give my child wisdom to handle disagreements with grace. Help them know when to speak up and when to let something go. Teach them to apologize when they’re wrong and to forgive when others hurt them.
I pray specifically against any mean girls or boys who might try to tear my student down. Protect their heart from cruel words and exclusion. If they face rejection, remind them that their worth comes from You, not from whether they sit at the cool table.
Help my student be kind not just to friends but to teachers, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, and everyone they meet. Let them be known as someone who makes others feel good about themselves. Use their words and actions to spread Your love throughout their school.
And Father, if my child is the one tempted to be unkind, stop them. Convict their heart and help them choose a better way. Make them a light in dark places.

Mighty God,
I cannot be with my student every moment of their day, but You can. You never sleep, You never look away, and nothing escapes Your notice. Today I place my child in Your hands and ask for Your complete protection.
Guard their body from harm. Protect them from accidents, illness, and danger. Watch over them on the bus, on the playground, in the hallways, and in every classroom. Station Your angels around them as they go throughout their day.
But Lord, I also pray for protection that goes deeper than physical safety. Guard their mind from lies and negative thoughts. The enemy wants to plant seeds of doubt, fear, comparison, and discouragement. I ask that You would block those attacks and fill my student’s mind with truth instead.
Protect their heart from deep wounds. School can be a place where feelings get hurt. Shield them from words that cut deep and situations that damage their spirit. If hurt does come, heal it quickly before it takes root.
I pray for spiritual protection over my child. Cover them with the blood of Jesus. Let no weapon formed against them prosper. Keep them far from peer pressure that leads to wrong choices. When temptation comes—to cheat, to lie, to be cruel, to compromise their values—give them strength to say no.
Protect their innocence. Guard their eyes from things they shouldn’t see and their ears from things they shouldn’t hear. Keep them safe from people who might try to harm them or lead them astray.
Lord, I declare Psalm 91 over my student. You are their refuge and fortress. Under Your wings they find shelter. No harm will overtake them because You command Your angels concerning them. They will not fear any terror or danger because You are with them.

Dear Father,
I lift up every teacher and staff member who will pour into my student this year. Give them strength for the challenging job ahead. Teaching isn’t easy, and they face so much pressure and responsibility.
Bless my child’s teachers with patience, especially on hard days. Give them creative ideas to help every student learn in the way they learn best. Let them see the potential in my child and speak words that build up, not tear down.
I pray for their health and energy. Teaching requires so much—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Renew their strength each day. Remind them why they chose this calling and help them find joy in shaping young lives.
Give them wisdom to handle difficult situations with grace. Help them be fair and consistent. Let them create classrooms where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

Dear God,
Not every school day will be good. Some days my student will come home tired, frustrated, or upset. They might fail a test, have a fight with a friend, or feel overwhelmed by everything on their plate.
On those hard days, I pray You would be especially close to them. Let them feel Your presence like a warm hug. Remind them that one bad day doesn’t define them and that tomorrow is a fresh start.
When they struggle with schoolwork, help them not to give up. Replace frustration with determination. Send help in the form of a patient teacher, a smart friend, or a sudden breakthrough in understanding.
If someone hurts their feelings, comfort them. Heal any wounds quickly. Help them see that mean behavior says more about the other person than about them. Give them grace to forgive without letting others treat them badly.
When they feel left out or lonely, remind them You are always with them. Help them know it’s okay to feel sad sometimes but that You will never leave them alone in that sadness. Bring someone alongside them who understands.
On days when they just don’t want to go to school, give them motivation. Help them find one good thing to look forward to—a favorite subject, a good friend, a fun activity. Carry them through the hard moments.
And Lord, give me wisdom as their parent to know how to help. Show me when they need a listening ear, when they need advice, when they need a break, and when they need to push through. Help me balance supporting them with teaching them resilience.
Most importantly, use hard days to teach my student that they can do hard things with You by their side. Let challenges make them stronger, not discouraged.

Faithful Father,

Let them grow socially, making friends and learning how to navigate relationships. Most importantly, help them grow spiritually, drawing closer to You and understanding Your love more deeply.

I pray for success, but I also pray for character. More than good grades, I want my child to develop integrity, compassion, humility, and faith. Use both victories and struggles to shape who they’re becoming.
